Baroness Campbell and Roger Berry MP, Co-Chairs of the All Party Parliamentary Disability Group have asked each of the main political party’s disability spokespeople to talk to the Group on Tuesday 2 March about their proposals for taking forward disability equality post the 2010 General Election. In particular they want to put disabled people’s priorities for change to each party spokesperson and ask them to respond. So they want to know: what are disabled people’s top five priorities for action on disability equality?
If you email Marije at the APPDG Secretariat here at RADAR Marije.Davidson@radar.org.uk (or fax 0870 141 0337, or write to RADAR, 12 City Forum, 250 City Road, London EC1V 8AF) we will put your top priorities into a briefing for that meeting so the parties can respond. We would be very grateful if you could respond by Tuesday 23 February.
We’ll also use your responses to shape the Manifesto for Disability Equality and the PPCs Pledge Card we’ll be producing to influence candidates in the run up to the election (most likely date: May 6 when many areas also have local elections).
