Future Proofing Equality - The Summit

“We believe that in tough economic times disability equality matters more not less. We need to avoid creating new inequalities, spend scarce resources where they are most needed and identify and develop all of Britain’s talents. We call this “future-proofing equality”.

 Phil Friend, Chair of RADAR

In 2009, as part of the People of the Year Awards, RADAR hosted a series of meetings between leaders and experts in the fields of Careers, Accessible IT and Independent Living to work out and set future goals for the inclusion and empowerment of disabled people.
