Disabled people are routinely discriminated against and face barriers to exercising basic rights such as access to health care, education, housing, transport and public protection. RADAR seeks to remove these barriers by informing, advocating and empowering. By supporting RADAR you will be helping us to achieve full human rights for millions of disabled people in the UK.
Whoever you are, there are ways in which you can help RADAR to continue delivering positive change for disabled people.
Make a Donation
There are over 10.8 million disabled people in the UK today and RADAR is the largest disability network supporting many people through the provision of practical help like the national key scheme, campaigns like those that secured the Disability Discrimination Act (which is changing the world for disabled people), and publications like New Bulletin that empowers disabled people, informs and helps us to greater independence and a better quality of life.
What we do makes a real difference. The National Key Scheme is just one of those support services on which this year alone we’ll be spending over £180,000. Whilst we do make a small charge for the key, to help cover the cost of sending it to you, other publications like our “Get Motoring” a valuable practical guide to finding and financing your car are provided totally free. To help us to continue providing the keys and information which changes people's lives we need your help.
As a charity RADAR is dependent on the support of others. Your donation, big or small, can make a huge difference to the number of people we can help each year. A donation of just £5.00 could provide 10 disabled people with vital information on achieving mobility and independence by providing copies of our mobility guide, £100 could mean could help us towards empowering disabled people to make a lasting difference in their own community.
On this site you can make a one off donation or set up a regular monthly gift. If you do want to make a donation, please remember to use Gift Aid. This means that for every pound you give, we get an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue. This means that £10 from you can be turned into £12.80 for us at no cost to you! So if you want your donation to go further, Gift Aid it!
There are many other ways in which you or your organisation can support RADAR. Have you thought about Give As You Earn, would you like to leave a legacy to RADAR or are you a company that understands the benefits of employing disabled people and would like to know more. If so, the please contact Leif Moestue (Fundraising Manager) on leif.moestue@radar.org.uk

Volunteering RADAR is always on the lookout for enthusiastic people who want to volunteer to help us in our campaigns and membership activities.
Our volunteers provide us with a wide range of support, and are vital for keeping the office running smoothly, assisting the campaigning, research, membership, political, fundraising, finance and publication teams. This assistance is essential as it allows the teams to undertake more work in their specialist areas, generating more productivity for the organisation and helping us to achieve our campaigning goals.
