Who We Are

Improving performance by promoting diversity and inclusion

Radar is a national network of over 800 disability organisations and disability rights campaigners. Run by and for disabled people, we are the UK’s leading disability rights group, speaking up with and for the 11 million people in the UK living with disability or health conditions regardless of age or impairment. We have over 30 years experience of working with central and local government, large and small companies from all sectors to develop strategies and solutions which further disability equality in practical and business beneficial ways.

Our Associates

Radar Associates are disability experts who have been recruited by us because of their extensive experience, knowledge and skills. All associates subscribe to Radar’s Vision and Mission and have established expertise in one or more of the following fields:

  • Equality Law
  • Human Resources
  • Policy Development and Implementation
  • Leadership and Empowerment
  • Access and Inclusion – including Communications and mystery shopping
  • Engaging and Involving Clients, Customers and Service Users

Between them, our associates have extensive experience of many fields within both the public, private and voluntary sectors including:

  • Corporate Business
  • Finance and banking
  • Central and local government
  • Customer service and retail
  • Human resources in large and small companies
  • Arts, sport and leisure
  • Housing
  • Transport
  • Regulation

We have over 30 associate registered with us which means that we can match the right individuals or teams to each separate assignment or project.

We have chosen our associates for their commitment and proven track record in delivering successful outcomes.  Between them our associates have personal insight into all the major impairments and health conditions with first hand experience of finding solutions to over come barriers faced by disabled people.

Radar senior staff and trustees including Chair Phil Friend OBE and Chief Executive Liz Sayce OBE give time to projects as needed.

Radar Associates operates on a managed consultancy model. There is a small core team of management staff and advisers in Radar who are responsible for managing contracts and providing quality assurance for outputs.
