How to leave a legacy to Radar

You can leave a specific sum of money or an item such as jewellery or a piece of art. You can leave a share in, or all of, what’s left of the value of your estate after all bills have been paid and all other legacies have been distributed.

If you already have a will, it’s quick and simple to include a gift to Radar. You won’t need to rewrite your will; a qualified solicitor can draft an amendment (called a codicil) for a minimal cost.

There is suggested wording to amend your will below.

Template Wording for Wills

For a residuary gift:
I give the residue of my estate to Radar, 12 City Forum, 250 City Road, LONDON EC1V 8AF (Registered Charity Number 273150) for its general charitable purposes.  I further direct that the receipt of the Chief Executive or other proper officer of the said charity for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said gift.

For a pecuniary / specific bequest:
I give the sum of £_____ (or the item specified) to Radar, 12 City Forum, 250 City Road, LONDON EC1V 8AF (Registered Charity Number 273150) for its general charitable purposes.  I further direct that the receipt of the Chief Executive or other proper officer of the said charity for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said gift.
